Overview

General Summary of the Position

The Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries (OYYACM) provides an array of live content opportunities that comprehensively elevates the professionalism and methodological development of ministry leaders, as well as a few that directly impact the faithful of a given parish’s ministries. Ensures that all events maintain a high standard of quality, extending to someone the opportunity to enter wholeheartedly into the experience of Christ’s love. The OYYACM endeavors to fulfill this mission through its implementation of the highest quality ongoing formation for ministry leaders and direct-to-parish constituent programming including the Dallas Catholic Youth Conference and The 635.

 

The Associate Director of Content Development assists the Director as the creative lead in dynamic ministerial elements of comprehensive youth, young adult, and campus ministries. The associate director serves as the principal design and project management agent for all live content and ministry gatherings, events, and initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position

  • Dallas Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC) lead – Including:
    • Conference Director for the DCYC initiative
    • Point of contact with vendors, breakouts and leadership teams
    • Creation and formalization of content for DCYC
    • Supervision of DCYC project contractor
  • Assess effectiveness and creatively grow and manage The 635 initiative
    • Collaborate with parishes
    • Create and formalize content and framework
    • Work with the director to book speakers and venues.
  • Project lead a new Middle School Conference
    • Point of contact with vendors, breakouts and leadership teams
    • Creation and formalization of content
  • Function as the project lead and chief design agent of ongoing formation, including Summit and Basecamp events, along with supplemental resources and materials for continued professional development
    • Create a scope and sequence for development of content
    • Identify areas of growth for ministry leaders and create formational opportunities to address areas of growth
    • Elevate the professionalism and methodological development of ministry leaders
    • Provide supplemental resources and materials for continued professional development.
    • Collaborate with the AD of Ministry Development, and AD of Outreach and Diversity, to creat the formation plan and development of topics. 
  • Model and train parishes and campuses (parochial school, high school, and university) in creating live content that compliments comprehensive ministry.
  • Supervise, professional and volunteer staffs working to support the events of the office, including DCYC and The 635.
  • Coordinate with social media content creators for The 635 and DCYC.
  • Develop leadership for middle school and high school in conjunction with OYYACM discipleship initiatives.
  • Collaborate on Pastoral Juvenil Hispana (PJH) initiatives.
  • Serve on diocesan, regional and national committees as discernment allows.
  • Advocate and link youth, young adult, and campus ministries to Pastoral Center agencies as well as parishes, deaneries, and the wider community.
  • Empower parish leaders by providing direction, consultation, training, formation as needed to elevate ministry that is experiential focused on encounter with Jesus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Disciple of Jesus Christ who regularly seeks to enhance his or her relationship with God through the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Exhibits a strong entrepreneurial spirit guided by a regular life of prayer.
  • Understanding of ministry and theology.
  • Ability to facilitate learning experience for youth and adults, especially in regard to leadership formation and development for ministry.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with external entities (hotels and conference centers) to help streamline conference experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and pastoral skills.
  • Extensive experience in digital media.
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Open to continued professional growth and development.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of Church documents.
  • Positive, practical attitude with balanced initiative.

 

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in related field, Master’s preferred
  • Competencies in the areas of Theology, Youth, Young Adult, and Campus ministry formation, community organization, design thinking, intercultural ministry
  • Minimum of 7 years of ministry experience working with youth, young adults, or campus ministry constituents

Pay Range

USD $72,000.00 - USD $72,000.00 /Yr.
